Photography Trip: Avocet Mating Ritual

In this event, we will be observing and photographing American Avocets mating at Baylands Nature Preserve in Palo Alto.

Special Notes:

• Since we will be staying at the same place for most of the time, please be prepared accordingly. You may consider bringing a portable stool (or a simple cushion to sit on the rocky shoreline), as well as a tripod or monopod.

• There may be other photographers around the reservoir, so please maintain silence and be mindful of others to avoid interference.

• All photography skill levels friendly. If you feel you need assistance, you may email us in advance with details about your photography experience, camera/lens model, and the type of guidance you would like to receive.
